T Qwabe Foundation offers humanitarian relief to Mevamhlophe reserve and surroundings

The recent heavy rains left so many people homeless and with no food. In response to the severe flooding in Mevamhlophe, Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal province, the T Qwabe Foundation and Department of Social development team provided humanitarian relief. The foundation and the department of Social development started their post flood reach out with the distribution of palliatives. The distribution of the palliatives was carried out at the different venues, in close proximities of the affected villages.


T Qwabe foundation and the department of Social development were able to reach several villages and distribute food parcels and blankets, including 189 FoodParcels and blankets in Macekane village, 212 Ncekwane village, 40 in Ngwelezane, 85 Ndlangubo, 130 in Emasangweni village, 25 in Kwesakwa Mthethwa, and 100 Kwesakwa Biyela, eMkhandlwini, and 230 in Mbuzini village.


The T Qwabe Foundation team expresses sincere gratitude to the King Cetshwayo district Mayor, traffic officers, councillors, and MECs of all the villages, and the SANDF for enabling access to the previously inaccessible villages.
