Annual Events Schedule for T Qwabe Foundation

1. World AIDS Day Commemoration (1 December 2023:

- Purpose: To raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, honour those affected by the disease, and advocate for prevention and support.

- Activities:

- Organize awareness campaigns, including educational sessions, workshops, and community outreach programs.

- Collaborate with local partners, healthcare providers, and community organizations to conduct free HIV testing and counselling.

- Host a memorial event to remember those who have lost their lives to AIDS and celebrate the resilience of survivors.

- Engage in media campaigns and social media initiatives to amplify our message and reach a wider audience.

2. Volunteer Appreciation Day ( 10 August 2023:

- Purpose: To recognize and appreciate the valuable contributions of our volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to support our programs and initiatives.

- Activities:

- Organize a special event or gathering to express gratitude to our volunteers and acknowledge their impact.

- Provide certificates or tokens of appreciation to volunteers in recognition of their commitment and dedication.

- Share inspiring volunteer stories on our website, social media platforms, and newsletters.

- Encourage volunteers to share their experiences and testimonials to showcase the meaningful impact of their contributions.

3. Annual Fundraising Gala (16 November 2023):

- Purpose: To raise funds for our programs, projects, and services, while creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for attendees.

- Activities:

- Plan and organize a gala event with entertainment, live performances, auctions, and raffles to engage attendees and generate donations.

- Invite influential speakers, community leaders, and celebrities to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and our organization’s mission.

- Collaborate with local businesses and sponsors to secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support for the event.

- Leverage social media, email marketing, and traditional marketing channels to promote the gala and sell tickets.

4. Annual Impact Report Release (12 October 2023):

- Purpose: To share the achievements, impact, and progress made by the T Qwabe Foundation throughout the year with our stakeholders, donors, and supporters.

- Activities:

- Prepare a comprehensive impact report that highlights the key milestones, success stories, and statistics related to our programs and initiatives.

- Release the impact report on our website, social media platforms, and through targeted email campaigns.

- Host a press conference or media event to share the report with journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders in the HIV/AIDS advocacy field.

- Use the impact report as a tool to engage with existing donors, attract new funding opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.
